GARMIN HEALTH SUMMIT: THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN THE HEALTH INDUSTRY
PHILIP KLÖCKL (DATA ANALYTICS) AND PATRICK FUCHSHOFER (SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT) WERE GUESTS AT THE GARMIN HEALTH SUMMIT IN BERLIN.
“The world’s first washable smart textile with accurate body data acquisition.”
Philip Klöckl and Patrick Fuchshofer made their way from Graz to Berlin. Both are working on the project “QUS sports” of the parent company sanSirro from Austria since 2014. QUS sports is a pioneer in smart textiles and the prototype of the world’s first washable smart shirt is about to be launched. In cooperation with a textile manufacturer, a shirt with integrated, intelligent sensors was developed.
Geo data and physiological parameters, such as the heart rate, can be recorded without additional equipment. Thanks to software partners, the data is available via the app or online dashboard in real time. Can Garmin too? Yes, exactly, but with a collaboration additional values such as the respiratory rate on the wearable would be available as well. Philip Klöckl sees potential in the areas of sport and military but also in patient monitoring and live monitoring in the health sector.
